Overview & Background Information

The Town’s corporate website (www.thebluemountains.ca) serves as the primary communication tool for all municipal information, project updates and community news. Through the budget process, the Town identified the need to improve and enhance the user experience of the website, and to increase staff productivity and workflow efficiency through the management of the website.

As the website is often the first touchpoint for both residents, stakeholders, and visitors, feedback from the community is an integral part of the extensive rebuild and website redevelopment process. The development of the new website is underway and will continue to take place through this year with a goal to re-launch a new fully functional website in fall 2021.

Upon relaunch, the website will:

  • Improve the end-user experience;
  • Feature a new and improved design and functionality;
  • Employ streamlined and simplified site navigation;
  • Improved content searchability;
  • Full AODA accessibility and security compliance; and
  • Enhanced and simplified staff processes.
